Could any one suggest any good hotel in Tombuktu?? There are offering us the Hotel La Colombe or Hotel La Maison, any one knows which one is better?? Thanks for the help.

Hi, personally I don't know either of the hotels but in the French "Guide du Routard" there is a good report for La Colombe, very clean and friendly staff. But don't get stuck in the annexe (their advice).

Hi, there are a few hotels in Tombouctou as well as a camping and a (privat)guesthouse. The hotel Boctou is okay, low price, at the edge of the desert. Colombe is better and bit pricier; the Azalai was also good. Close to the Flamme de la Paix monument is another good hotel - I think it was called The Caravane ?? Also there's a European woman running a guesthouse , but unfortunatedly I forgot her name. As soon as it comes back to me, I will tell you.
And if you really want a posh stay: Hendrina Khan.
But what ever hotel you choose: Mali is a fascinating country and a nic eplace to be.

Thanks so much both of you. Finally we will be staying at La Colombe, we are not looking for a luxury place, just a clean and confortable hotel... and I am sure Mali will be a surprising country, we are going on august so after I will tell you about. Thanks
