| Kuala Lumpur | A non glass/plastic hotel thats not seedy? Posted: Mon April 21, 2008 08:35 AM UTC
Hi,
we'll be in Kl for 4 nights. We hate glitzy glass tower block hotels and would prefer a more home like or quirky approach but all the stuff I've found so far -around Chinatown- look really seedy. Is it possible to get something in between in KL? |

Try Ancasa Hotel. It's next to Puduraya bus terminal and within Chinatown.

Try Dorsett Regency. Its a 3/5 - 4 star hotel.
The staff are really nice and helpful there. Its located right behind star hill so its walking distance to everything! Dont choose chinatown as it is a bit far from everything except for Petaling St shopping and central market.

Hi,
try Pujangga Hostel at Bukit Bintang area. I know it's not a hotel, but you are looking for a home like accomodation. You can find information about this places at Hostelworld site. Have a nice day Ingka

Capitol Hotel is a great 3 star hotel in Bukit Bintang area.
Surrounded by 2-3 shopping malls and hawker food just around the corner. Rooms are cosy and modern. Their rooms won them some interior design awards some years back. For the price, I guess its worth it!

We lived in KL so didn't need to use hotels. You could try this one: http://www.anjungkl.com/ - looks nice and in a very good position.
Good luck!
