| Lago di Garda | Sigurtà gardens and borgettho Posted: Sun April 20, 2008 07:47 AM UTC
Hi,
Is it wise to travel from stresa in lake maggorie to Sigurtà gardens for a half day, then stay to sleep in south of garda lake? is half day will be enough to spend in Sigurtà gardens and borgettho? We (we are couple with a 11 month old baby) plan to skip como lake on our trip - so we need to travel from maggorie to garda - which is a long trip - so maybe day in Sigurtà gardens is relaxing enough? Thanks |

Well, the gardens of Villa Sigurtà are a big and wonderful park, with many corners and views. For sure you can see it quite quick, but they seems made to spend a whole or at least a half sunny day just searching for sunny or shadowy places where to lazily lay on the grass.
Borghetto, just under the park, is a wonderful "watermills" village, but very small. Ideal to stop by for a lunch or dinner, expecially if you pick the restaurant that has table just over the river... Ciao Francesco
