Thanks so much for all your replies. We want to take a night train from Wroclaw to Budapest on the evening of May 23. Please advise me of 1) whether there is night train leaving Wroclaw for Budapest or we need to go to another city in order to go to Budapest, 2) how we can make the reservation for a double sleeper and how long in advance we should make the reservation, and 3(if you know) the total price for a double sleeper. Thanks.

will give you train times and routes for all European trains. There are 2 evening trains from Wroclaw ndand one in the early hours. 2 require compulsory reservation.

www.polrail.com will give you train times and fares in English. No-one can tell you how far in advance you should make the reservation, as no-one can know how busy that particular train will be. My advice would be to book ahead online if you are worried about availability and/or your plans are inflexible. The site suggests you allow 1 - 2 weeks for 'shipping' (it seems Polrail actually send the tickets, rather than do an e-ticket); I'd allow a bit more than that, personally.

If you are going to be in Wroclaw for some days, and you are willing to be flexible about train time/sleeper availability, then you could reserve a sleeper when you arrive there.

Night train from Wroclaw leaves main station at 8.30 pm goes to Katowice (11.10pm) here you must change the train to Budapest TLK 203 at 11.52 pm.
In Budapest 8.32 am.
There are no direct trains.
