See if this sounds decent
Take the D,F,V,B,Q to 47-50th Rockefeller Center early in the morning you can see the Today show on Rockefeller Plaza for free. It normally starts at 8am. or you can walk over to the Mike and Juliet show which is indoors over on 48th street. You really do not need tickets for it just stand in line and be there before 9:30am the show is free and they serve breakfast. Then go to 53rd street between 6th and 5th ave you have nothing but art museums there like the museum of modern art. Then walk down 5th avenue to St. Patricks Cathedral. Go down to 42nd street and turn to the east side for Grand Central Terminal to try Juniors who serves NY famous Cheesecake. Or leave the cathedral and go up to Central Park. Right before you get there you might want to check out FAO Schwartz for the kid in you.

do you like Chinese food? you Must go to Chinatown, located on and south of Canal Street, east of Broadway. Take R or 6 train to Canal St, eat at Great New York Noodle House, on corner of Bowery and Bayard, one block south of Canal St. Try the salt baked chicken (around $8) and a side of pea shoots. Canal also leads into the Manhattan Bridge, which has a pedestrian walkway. it offers stupendous views of my city. Or take the Roosevelt Island tram, over the East River, to that island and back. It's at the base of the 59St Bridge, which is at 2d Ave and, yes, 59 St! ENjoy the lovely day tomorrow.

Try American Museum of Natural History. The general admission price is suggested to be $15 for adult but you can tell them you want to pay less since it says "Suggested admission fee", it means its not mendatory. The museum is located at 79 St and Central Park West, Open hours from 10:00 a.m.–5:45 p.m. & you can take B or C train to 81 St and walk 2 blocks. Its a very nice museum....Metropolitan Museum of Art is closed on Monday, otherwise you will have another choice.
