Will be traveling from the US to Paraguay in June and was wondering how the cell phone service is?? Have a cell phone with a international sim card and was wondering how the service is. Will be in Asunción and Encarnación.

currently, there are four cell phones companies:
- www.tigo.com.py - www.personal.com.py - www.claro.com.py and www.vox.com.py if you have a three band cell phone, you could buy a sim card for about 2 USD. text messeges at 3 cents and one minute phone calls at about 15 cents. Otherwise, you'll need to check with your cell phone provider in the US about roaming options.
