| Namibia | Accomodations in Oshakati Posted: Sat April 19, 2008 02:26 PM UTC
I'm headed to a wedding in Iipopo and they suggested we stay in Ondangwa but all I can find there are large hotel-type places. I'd like a smaller, more exclusive lodge. Any ideas? I thought about heading to Oshakati and staying there which is about 30 minutes from Ondangwa. Any nice places there? Thanks!

Hello,
There is a place, a guest-house, run by an Iranian couple. The lady is an architect. I cannot remember the name of the place, not even as hard as I try. I highly recommend the place. It's some years ago I stayed there and it was a very nice place indeed. Very quiet, and no alcohol served on the premises. ( The couple's religion is bahai). It didn't bother me at all. The training centre in Valambola might have opened their guest-house, too. Maybe.A large place. You just ask around and I know you will find the guest-house. There is surely the word "valleys" in its name. regards, Soili who stayed there but cannot remember the name.. The place is in Oshakati.
