| Krakow | Krakow-Budapest by night train Posted: Sat April 19, 2008 12:46 PM UTC
Hi! I am planning to take the night train from Krakow to Budapest on 8th June. The Deutsche Bahn website mentions a train 200 whose segment goes direct from Krakow to Budapest. I came across another forum posting (http://www.eurotrip.co.uk/forum/tm.aspx?m=126278) mentioning that this segment of the train has been discontinued. The questions i have are:
1) Is the direct night train between Krakow and Budapest still running? 2) In case it is, is there a 2nd class sitting compartment that runs between Krakow and Budapest or is it necessary to spend on a sleeper/couchette? Any information would be more than welcome. Thanks in advance. |

Have a look at www.polrail.com, which will give you Polish train times and fares in English.
Sitting all night would be very uncomfortable, but I'm sure that some parts of the night train will have ordinary seats.
