Hello friends...
I am going to Prague in early September, does anyone know if I can enter the Prague Castle with my tripod...???
I know ther are places which will not allow a tripod inside, please anyoen who could have this information for me will be highly appreciated. Thanks

The castle area is a complex of buildings. You don't have to pay to get into the grounds themselves only the buildings in there, so I guess you would be ok in the grounds of the castle with public access, now inside i'm not too sure but i'll be there next weekend and check hoorah

inside the churches and museums there it is forbidden to take photos with tripod or flash, so I simply cannot believe that they will let you in with a tripod, even when you promise not to use it. Also putting it into a rucksack would not work, because that is the next thing you are not allowed to take with you there.
BUT as said before, for just walking in the large complex of buildings that actually make the "castle of Prague" , on the Hrazin, you can have a small rucksack, a tripod or what-ever.
b.t.w. it is also a sensitive government-area and those guards are not just for the tourists, so if they have the feeling that you might bring danger in your rucksack they might check it or simply send you away !!!

at the central-ticket-box for all museums of the castle you can also buy a "photo-license" for 200 kronas or so for taking pics without flash and without tripod !
