| Belgrade | Visting Belgrade in time of Eurosong Posted: Fri April 18, 2008 10:59 AM UTC
hello,
me and my two friends are planning to visit Belgrade on Eurosong weekend, althoug we don't have ticket for the show, we want to experience the thrill of the event... We are now looking for best ways of accommodation, hostels and private accommodation. Can you recommend anything up to 20 euros per night? Generally, what about hostels in Belgrade, any recommendations? Other thing is that we want to plan our staying from friday afternoon to sunday afternoon, so tell us what to do, where to go friday night to have the most fun possible?? Thank u, I will be waiting for your tips:) |

Up to 20 euros is little for Eurosong weekend :) prices are pretty high in that period. Maybe some hostels... Good luck finding accommodation :) Here are few links so give it a try

I was in Belgrade 4 times, last time in november 2005. At that time only 3 hotels were under 27 euros a night and they were full all the time even when there's not any big event and it wasn't holidays. From 28 euros I found hotel Astoria just in front of the train station with breakfast included, it wasn't really great but not bad and affordable.
At that time there was only one youth hostel in the city but it works only in summer and I wouldn't advice you to go there anyway, sometimes they don't have sheets and forget about soap or toilet paper! From 35 to 55 euros there were good hotels with breakfast included and in the centre of the town but I don't know how's the situation now. Good luck

Hi,
Stayed in a good hostel in Belgrade in March called the Chillton Hostel. It is located on the same street as the St. Sava tample and is a short walk into town with public transport points located very close to the hostel. For more details check my accom page on my Belgrade page. I notice Pupulainen has offered advice. He is a fountain of knowledge on all things Serbian so if you need advice I would recommend him highly. He helped a lot when I was planning my trip to Serbia. Enjoy Belgrade, it is an amazing city. ONE Guinness!!!. Did you never hear the Irish expression - 'You can never only have one pint...it's an insult to the barman!'

Room for rent in Belgrade during Eurosong contest 2008
A room with two beds, one of which is double, for 2 or 3 persons, bathroom, kitchen, 5 minutes by bus from Belgrade Arena (Eurosong venue), near Danube, hospitable hosts (two students), various bus lines very close to the apartment, computer, internet, extra quiet neigbourhood, not expensive...
