| Fiji | Accomodation in Yasawas Posted: Fri April 18, 2008 04:54 AM UTC
Hello,
I've started researching accomodations for a trip to Fiji in July. It seems that most of the choices are resorts, where all meals and drinks must be purchased while staying there. Are there other options, such as stores and backpacker cafes/bars? Also, it sounds like there isn't internet or ATM access on these islands, is this correct? Any information would be greatly appreciated! |

Hi Jenn,
It really depends where your staying. If your staying in one of the island resorts then your limited to whatever those resorts have to offer. I am not sure whether these resorts have atms or internet, hopefully someone else will be able to answer that for you. However, is your staying in a resort in and around Nadi, ie one of the ones on Denerau Island then you have access to the restaurants and bars in Nadi town. Denerau island is linked to the mainland by a small bridge and Nadi is only 10 minutes away by car. There are ANZ, Colonial, and Westpac branchs in Nadi with ATM, and internet access is available. Hope this helps.
