| Europe | Travel for 5 in Germany Posted: Thu April 17, 2008 02:16 PM UTC
Hello! 5 adult members(& a baby) of my family(fr Asia) are visiting me in Düsseldorf(I'm new here too) in late April this year for 3 weeks and I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to see the most of Germany including Neuschwanstein, Rothenburg o d Tauber, Black Forest, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Köln, Trier, Cochem etc. Bearing in mind that driving is not an option with so many people, I've found the German rail pass to be a possibility. For day trips within the NRW region, I thought the Day passes were the best options. Does this seem like the best(read:cost effective) option or does anyone out there know a better solution. Would an 8 day rail pass be good enough? Also which city can one stop in to buy a cuckoo clock? Many thanks in advance.
