The ferry to St Barths is relatively cheap, but so is a short flight. You can find info on both here:

Check this page for accommodations. Anything with $ symbol is less than US$100:

Hi,

What month were you planning to head to St. Barths? The hotel rates vary depending on what time of year you stay there. Another great link that we used as a resource was SBH Online:

http://www.st-barths.com/guide.html

The Tropical Hotel had some decent rates compared to some of the other surrounding hotels in that St. Jean area. It was just a 2 minute walk to the Beach (and the famous Nikki Beach restaurant/nightclub is right across from it)

From St. Martin, we were advised by some locals to take the short 10 minute flight on WinAir rather than the ferry to St. Barths. The waters can get pretty choppy around that area and the ferry ride can be pretty uncomfortable. If you book well in advance, you might be able to snag one of the lower rates on WinAir.

St Barths is a blast and we had some good times on that island just last year.

Enjoy!
