| Khartoum | travel with kids to Sudan Posted: Thu April 17, 2008 01:00 AM UTC
Can anyone offer some advice on traveling and living in Khartoum with kids? ie. what to bring, what's available in the baby/child needs departments, etc. Also wondering whether mosquito nets are available to buy in Khartoum or is it best to bring them? And, what sort of electrical plugs are used in Khartoum?

how old are you kids? depending on on the age there are quite a few things you might need to take along personal hygine as i suppose those stuff may be avilable but some may only be available from exclusive store and pharmacies. for example when was last there i had to get to downtown khartoum to get a pack of toilet paper rolls which i only found at the chemist's though its understandable that being a predominantly muslim society they use water in their toilets. as mozzy nets it comes down to how long and when you get there. if june, july, august and september gets you there, you will need some.
