Riyadh Wife wants to visit husband in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Posted: Wed April 16, 2008 10:26 PM UTC
My husband is working for a project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He's on a business visa. He would like me to visit the place for two weeks, the most. Is this possible?

Have you heard of the company "Systems Builder"?
We heard that they assist in processing or acquiring a reference note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jeddah or Damman for employers of business visa holders who want to bring their spouses/wives for a "special visa" just to visit the place.

Any information that you can share is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

If your husband is just on a business visa (short-term visitor), then he needs to ask the company that invited him to invite you as well. They may or may not want to do that.
If he is living there, then he can most likely arrange a visit visa for you through his own company.

No other companies can get those invitation/clearances for you, unless you find a sponsor in your own right.

Hey smiley..

You got the best reply from the other person. Your husband should contact his company for the visa, because they are his sponsor and so would be yours too thru your husband. I dont think would be impossible, but getting into Saudi has a lot of paperwork to do before hand.

Good luck!

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my queries.
I've shared the info with my husband and his employer is working on our request. We're told that there has been a recent amendment with the Visa laws for KSA and it would be very tough for me to be granted a visa even for a week visit at the compound where my husband temporarily stays whenever he's in Riyadh. I was told to wait until end of April 2008 for a decision. I'll post a message if I'll get lucky or not.

Riyadh Wife was able to visit husband in Riyadh on Business Visa

As promised I'll send you message confirming about my business visa application.
I am currently in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia now enjoying a relaxing vacation despite the scorching heat outside. The only additional requirement that the Arabian Embassy asked me to submit was the "Letter of Experience" which I drafted and had my employer reviewed and signed. Other papers that I've submitted were my T.O.R. (Transcript Of Records) from H.S. to my post graduate studies, copies of my marriage certificate and birth certificate.
I didn't have problems when I entered Riyadh two weeks ago. The notes on my visa were mostly in Arabic and an Arab friend translated the notes to us that I was given one month stay in Riyadh. Well I don't intend to stay that long. I'm just here for two weeks and I'll be going home after.
So that's it. I am just grateful that my husband's employer were so helpful in processing the requirements of my Business Visa (dependent) application.
