| Las Vegas | Winter in Vegas. Is it worth the staying? Posted: Wed April 16, 2008 05:15 PM UTC
Hi VT friends!
I'm planning a trip to Vegas in the end of february, because it's my holiday period for all the year. How is Vegas in winter? I saw the weather, and it's not cold as New York, for example. Is the city crowd? What do you think? Best regards! Bruno |

YES! Vegas never sleep! Always crowded and always something going on whether it's particular entertainment, convention, sporting event (betting), etc. Best weather there is probably winter and spring because the summer and fall are just way too hot! Have fun!

Anytime of the year in Vegas is good. You won't be able to lounge by the pools, but the atmosphere will be just as happening as any other time.

We were in Vegas in February, and the weather was a little cool some days, but who knows like someone said with climate change? For us 15C in February is a real treat but may seem cool to others. One day it was about 7C and raining. However, in Vegas one always has fun, good weather or not :o)

as mentioned, just don't go expecting pool time. if a pool is important to you, check at your hotel cause some aren't open in the winter and some aren't heated.

I was married in Vegas in Feb.a few years ago. The weather is on the cooler side (but im from California),probably in the mid 60*s. One of the benefits though is that feb. is in the off season and tends not to be as crowded as the summer months. Good luck with your trip planning!

I have gone to Vegas several times at the end of February, attending an annual convention. The weather is usually in the 50's or low 60's. Sometimes there has been some drizzle. A light jacket is usually all you need. I was able to get tickets for shows quite easily. Most hotel pools are not open during the winter months, since they are outdoors. Compared to the summer, when it can easily be over 100, February is a nicer time of year to be walking around Vegas. In fact, I am beginning to plan a trip to Vegas for February of 2009.

I went in February also. It's the best time of year, in my opinion, to go. It's not too hot making it more enjoyable!
