| Milan | Hen weekend August 2008 Posted: Wed April 16, 2008 03:17 PM UTC
Hi,
I have organised a hen weekend 29 Aug - 2nd sept 2008, is there anything you would recommend to see, is it worth taking a trip to the lakes, if so do you know how much/how long it takes to get there?! Also (sorry for all the questions!) my Nona comes from Mali Losinj and i was wondering if i stayed an extra few days if it is possible to get there from Milan? Thanks in advance, Rachael |

But from Milan it may be a long trip. I guess regular service is made from Pula and/or Rieka, but there is a much simpler ferry from venice, too, operated by Venezia lines: https://priclub.directferries.com/ferry/secure/1_b Hope it helps Francesco

I reply to you only about things to see.
The things yoyu can't loose are the Dome and his sorroundings, the castle and, if you can, also the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, but yopu've to book in advance for it. If you have time to do it, there are also other attractions such as the paint gallery (Pinacoteca di Breara), the museum of science and technology with a real submarine, a lot of churches (as in every italian city), and other museums. About the lakes, they are evry different from usual lakes you see all around Europe 'cause thay have glacial origins andthis gave them their strange shape (long and thin). The most popular one is the Garda Lake, but the most particular one probably is the Como Lake, easily reachable by train leaving from Cadorna train station and arriving to Como centre. Bye
