Your bus will probably be leaving from Pham Ngu Lao, while it my be not the most relaxing theres a load of bars that will be open all night there (but it's going to be noisy)

Think you can get a hotel to open up at that time, you'll probably be in tow about 2.00+, but think your going to have to book in advance online

Both leave from Pham Ngu Lau, District 1, it's the backpackers area so lots of hotels etc there

one last thing... is it clean and is it SAFE to just stay at the bus station's waiting area/lounge? from 2:00am till the departure of the bus? (7 or 7:30)? or we need to find a hotel to stay?

Simple answer, there isn't one for either Sapaco or Mekong Express, the busses just park on the street

You need approx. $25 bucks (~400k VND) to go to Saigon Star hotel where they are selling tickets for saunna and spa for the whole night from 10pm to 09am everyday
