1- i want to eat the chinese food(beef, chicken, shrimps, spring rolls, shrimp balls, noodles) as i know it in my country, but i don't know why every time i'll be in guangzhou we only go for mc donalds or something like that. Please give me some restaurants name for chinese food.
2-what are the shopping malls i might visit.
3-during this month is the weather hot or cold? this is my first time to visit Guangzhou in April, i used to go in October. Do we need long sleeves or it is hot?
4-how long does it take by train form guangzhou to hong kong?

Weather here is warm and humid, also often rainy. You won't need a jacket but will need an umbrella.

Plenty of eating places around, just go into any that catches your eye. Most of the big ones have menu in some sort of English. You might like to try big seafood restaurant at the river end of Haizhu Square (metro station, exit A, on the left past Landmark Canton Hotel). I think it's called Hang Xing, but I forget. Guangdong and Guangzhou is the eating centre of China.

What sort of shopping are you looking for? Beijinglu is a pedestrian street with lots of brand name shops. Or for actual department store, there's the Friendship store on Huanshizhonglu or Tee-mall and others at tiyuxilu metro station.

Train GZ-HK takes about 1h45

I don't know much about Guangzhou, but I have spent quite a bit of time in South China. I like to go to the restaurants that have many restaurants built like little kitchen areas, but under one roof surrounding the tables. If you don't know what to order off a menu, you can just walk around and see what people are buying. Often, each kitchen area has displays of their food specialty. You get a chance to see what you are going to get and you can try thngs that look interesting. It is a great way for the language impared to get a chance to try something different.

Maybe someone here could suggest a restaurant like this in the Guangzhou area.
