| Venice | Where to stay in Venice? Posted: Sun April 13, 2008 10:31 PM UTC
Hi, I'm going to be in Venice for two nights prior to leaving on a cruise in late September 2008, arriving from Milan by train. Looking for a good area and/or hotel to stay that hopefully won't cost more than 150 euro a night. Not sure if that is possible in venice but any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.

I suspect you may have to stay in Mestre I suggest the Ai Pini hotel http://www.hotelaipini.it/en/bookonline.htm A superior room is €132. I have stayed there at least 4 times and found it an oasis. I remember walking to the Mestre station which took me 10 minutes strolling, plenty of taxis if you have luggage.

Go to www.venere.com. This is a very reliable site with honest reviews. At the present time there are many hotels in Venice for around the price you are looking at in September.
