Can anyone tell me the logistics of visiting a pygmy village from Kinshasa?
It seems that some villages can be visited by a cruise on the congo river?
If so what is the duration and level of comfort of this cruise?

My view is that the only way you will get to do this will be to get to Kinshasa and try to arrange something from there. The words comfort and Congo river are impossible to use in the same sentence. I have only been on the river once and frankly that was enough and mine was only a simple crossing over to Brazzaville. My guess is, at best, you'll need several weeks to pull this off from your arrival in Kinshasa. Unless you are fluent in French, do not even bother. Expect to pay of several officials in the process as well.
So, steps are:
1. get to Kinshasa
2. find a guide to accompany you the whole way
3. find a boat
4. have lots of dollars
5. overstock on patience and refill your sense of humour tank
