I am looking for recommendations with regards to hostel or cheap hotels in Nanjing West area or nearby Zhongshan MRT station and it seems quite limited search. Any good recommendation?

You can try Dahshin Hotel,A good clean cosy 3* Near Zhongshan MRT Station:

the HI hostel is not far away from Zhongshan MRT station.
