Friuli-Venezia Giulia Getting to Sacile
Posted: Sun April 13, 2008 07:41 AM UTC
Hello!

I am wondering if anyone has any info on how to get to Sacile by public transport. I will be coming from Milan and would like to take an afternoon train/bus so that I arrive in the evening. I will be staying with some distant relatives and will stay there for a few day and head into Venice to visit there too.

I would like to take a direct way from Milan to Sacile, but if not I can head into Venice early from Milan then take a bus/train into Sacile at night. I am not sure if there is a train station there or in a neighboring city.

If anyone has any info please let me know where to find it.

Thanks

Seems like you can get a train from Milan to Sacile. Takes around 4 hours, with a change at Mestre. Trains (very) roughly hourly.

After you get off in Mestre, you must take the train to Udine, which usually leaves from platform 2 at .08 minute. Sacile is the 4th or 5th stop after Mogliano, (sometimes Preganziol), Treviso and Conegliano.

Thanks for your reply. I had gone to the website before and when I enter Milan to Sacile it says 'solution not found.' Do you know what I might be doing wrong, or is it another station name that I should enter.

It worked fine for me on the link I gave above.

And it just has again.

Perhaps you made a typo, or perhaps you used the Italian Trenialia pages and they use Italian spelings e.g. Milano rather than Milan??
