The theme parks seem to be getting busier again these days.
The best time to visit is outside of school holidays - time of day doesn't really matter. Not just Queensland school holidays either - the other States holidays are often at different times and there is usually some overlap where the parks are still extra busy. As you are coming in July you will be running into school holiday period, so I would just make sure that you get down here as close to opening as possible. I still take my visitors to the parks. Think about going to The Outback Spectacular too - different to the parks and next door to Wet N Wild and Movie World. http://outbackspectacular.myfun.com.au/

HEY,
The best time to see the theme parks is probably during the week but the parks are geared towards the tourist market so they will be at least steadly most times . Theay are all different some have tigers and animals eg "Dream World" and others are geared more towards thrill rides and such eg "Movie World".As to tickets well shop around sometimes on the back of shopping dockets u can get 1/2 price vouchers and there also are theme park booths around some major shopping centres. cheers Chris ps and remember the beaches are free

Hi there,
Just came back from vacation in Gold Coast few weeks ago. Surprisely, it was a school break that time and we didn't aware about that. We spent 2 days wednesday and thursday and found that it's not really crowded and no problem to enjoy the parks though it was school break. I dun really know how quiet that u r looking for, but to me, it's still allrite during schoolbreak and i suppose it shud be ok at any day u choose to enjoy it. If u used to go to disneyland, you'll find that gold goast theme parks won't make u wait like disney nor universal studio at LA. Enjoy!!
