| Venice | Romantic Destination for HoneyMoones in Italy near Venice Posted: Sat April 12, 2008 12:08 PM UTC
Good Day all Amigos!!
as a part of my HoneyMoone Euro Trip.. I 'll be for some of the time with the country I love Ittttaly! I'm thinking to arrive from home country to Venice & stay for 3 nights .. then to spend another 2 nights in a lovely & romantic destination for honeymooners which is very close town or city from Venice thatwith free - hassle transportation so that I can depart from italy to my next destination which is going to Vienna @ Austria. Would you please recomend me ?? I'm so thankful to VTs during all my travels, u were the ones who helped me out alot. FYI, my initial Honey moon, which will be 25 days starting from July 20th, iternary I'm thinking in will be like this: Plan A: Arrival on: Venice ( 3 nights ) Then, a Romantic easy to reach destination from Venice. Then, get the train to Vienna( 4 nights ), Austaria Renta a car from Vienna to Drive to Zell Am See( for 4 nights with day trips vists to Salzburg) Then, get a train to Munich ( 3 nights) Finally, We 'll take the train to Paris sweet Paris ( 6 nights ) Then fly back to home sweet home Dammam City with a night stop over in Dubai. |

Verona is, without doubt, a beautiful city and cetainly worth a visit.
You could also consider Padova. This is a city steeped in history with many wonderful castles and villas.

thanks all my friends misca , craic & domenicococozza, for your valuable inputs
When I hear "Verona".. the picture of Romeo & Joliete always jump to my mind.. Also, the the smell of the roasted coffe beans of Starbuck Verona coffe.. Well, I'll consider going to Verona, as Verona is on our way to Vienna 1/ For Verona, is worthwhile to spend to night there ? or just one night ? 2/ How can we make our way from Venice > Verona > Vienna ?? 3/ I was considering going to Como.. my parentes spent some days 20 years ago there & recomnedes it to me. Do you Recomend it, too?

do you know i have never been to Vienna
or had a starbucks coffee - in italy or anywhere i do think you are trying too hard and should just relax - a honeymoon is a get to know you time - right? - not that I have ever had one - you don't want to exhaust the poor bride

You can take a train from Venice to Verona - there are many trains leaving daily at an average cost of 14 Euros.
The same applies for the trip from Verona to Vienna - take the train. Some of these services go back via Venice Mestre. The cost for this journey averages 85 Euros. The journey time from Verona to Vienna is about 10.5 hours wth two or three changes en-route. Check out www.trenitalia.com

I see what are you saying.. lots of destination in honeymoon trip?
on the other hand, the honeymoon is 25 days long & 6 or 7 destinations is quite good, isn't ?

I'd add Asolo. It's not far from Bassano ddel Grappa. It would be better to go there by bus from Venice.
There are some pages about Asolo on VT if you like to get an idea on how the town looks like.

Hi - I'd put my vote for Padua / Padova 20 minutes from Venice by train - I paid 2.20 euros- A fascinating and Romantic city, with lots to offer, then get on the train to Lake Garda - spend a night at least here,to unwind from the cities before heading for Vienna. If you spend a couple of nights here, you can also catch the bus/ train to Verona for a daytrip.
Have A Great trip, Whatever You decide on! Best Wishes, Sue X
