We are a party of four people flying to Porto to stay in a hotel at Avenida Aliados... now I'm wondering how we should get to the hotel. My questions:

1) is possible for the 4 of us to travel together in one taxi?
2) how much the taxi costs approx. between Airport and Aliados?
3) If we take the metro, are there many stairs? Since we have luggage we would prefer to avoid stairs, but if there are lifts/escalators we should be ok.

If you go by metro, take he line at the airport to Trindade, then, take line yellow to Aliados. I don't know the cost by metro, and maybe four people is ok, the problem is if you have a huge luggage and it doesn't fit unless you find a big taxi.

The Metro will cost €1.90 and the journey is about 30 minutes. The tickets are rechargeable and if you use them again you will save €0.50 on the next similar journey.

The Aliados station has both escalators and a lift. There are escalators at the Airport station which is only about 50 metres walk from the arrivals area.

Should be OK on the Metro unless you are flying over the next few days, as they have a worker's strike!

Maybe you are already here, but, it is better if you get out at Trindade Station: Av. Aliados is like 500 metres going downhill, so you can avoid waiting for another train. Av. Aliados station will leave you at the bottom of Aliados and you will have to go uphill 500 metres. The ticket is the same! Your choice!

Definitively the Metro is the best option; it’s the cheaper and has stations in the airport and close to the hotel.
