Hello,
I am going to travel to Athens on september and I want to know a restaurant and hotel with panoramic view of Acropolis to get dinner and see Acropolis iluminated. Thank you in advance and best regards, |

I'm not sure this is what you have in mind, but Orizontes (Horizons) is a restaurant at the top of Lycabettus Hill that commands an amazing view of Athens and the Acropolis. Take the funicular from the Kolonaki District up the hill in time for the sunset and stay for a meal.

Certainly, you can have the best view over the Acropolis by choosing the "Dionyssos Restaurant", on the opposite side of the Acropolis.I would say, it is a little bit xpensive, but the panoramic view is "priceless" and worths any price!

How long in advance can I make a reservation? How much it cost a dinner for two more or less?

Reservations are always a good idea. Here's the phone number for Orizontes, I couldn't find a menu with prices, a website or an email address.

In september temperatues at evening are still good, so walk around in the Plaka area and find a nice taverna with views!!! there are so many!! be aware that Lycabettos hill is not next to the Acropolis!! maria

As you walk up the road to the Acropolis, if you keep on going then there is a restaurant right there on the left-hand side. No idea what it is called but it has a good view of the Acropolis. However, I would just have a wander around Plaka and find a restaurant that has a good view. Just had a thought, if you go to www.athensguide.com there is a section there on restaurants and I seem to remember that there was mention of several that have roof restaruants with good views.
