| Padova | Restaurant 27 persons Posted: Fri April 11, 2008 11:27 AM UTC
Hi all,
Currently I am organizing a study trip to Italy (Padova/Venice) in the end of April, and I am looking for a convenient place to eat. The group consists of 27 persons. Also, since our budget is limited, the restaurant shouldn't be too expensive, say max 20€ per person. Can someone advice us what would be an appropriate restaurant for us? Thanks in advance for any reactions! |

Try Casa del Pellegrino. It's opposite the S. Anthony Basilica. You should google a bit...perhaps they have a web site.

Hi, are you limited to the center of Padova about the restaurant choice? there are some that would fulfill your requests but they are far from the center, in villages nearby..
Consider also to book in advance as you are many and the end of April overlap with holidays (25 April and 1 May is holiday here).

I wanted to suggest Casa del Pellegrino, too. It is not expensive at all if you consider it lies close to the Saint Anthony church. You can certainly have lunch for 20 euro or less. However, you will likely need to book for so many people.
This is the website of the restaurant:http://www.casadelpellegrino.com/eng/restaurant.php. "Casa del Pellegrino" is also a 2-star hotel.

We do have the possibility to eat in another city. Maybe this is even a very good option, since I expect it will be easier to make a reservation and maybe is cheaper.
Do you have some names of good restaurants in the surrounding of Padova? Also I'm going to look into the restaurants in Padova-centre. Thank you very much for your reactions!

There are a nice Pizzeria-reataurant in Montegrotto Terme it is called "El Gaucho"
PIZZERIA RISTORANTE EL GAUCHO Montegrotto Terme (PD) VIA RISORGIMENTO, 4 Tel 049.794896 you can chose what to eat if pizza or other food so maybe it is easier to stay in a budget. The location is very nice, close to the Colli Euganei (many hills), the building is made by stones. The pizza and food are great. The only problem is that is far from Padova maybe 20 kilometers... Another very good restaurant is Trattoria da Nicola, I write about in my Padova tips, but I think this one would be more expensive, it is a very good restaurant. They are just my favourite here...
