Im travelling this region with my family (two adults three teenagers) in July and have priced airfares. They are prohibitive. Can anyone tell me how far it is by road, do buses go this route, how many hours will it take? Do we book? Thanks for any help

From Ephesus go to Selcuk 2km away and take the bus. Depending on wether you want to go very cheap (local dolmus) or main bus companies, probably better. You wıll probably have to get off at Ortaca and get a local bus from there to Dalaman and then a taxi to the airport. 4 hrs Selcuk-Ortaca, half hour to Dalaman, 10 mins taxi.

Sorry July busy but there are also more buses but booking the Selcuk-Ortaca leg is the better option, 2-3 days before should be ok i think but when you get there do it straight away and then there is less chance of being disappointed.
