I urgently need your recommendations for :
In Athens : I know touristic tavernas are not good to satisfy but seems like more guaranti to amuse my Turkish group in such a place although I wouldnt prefer. My Greek friends may understand how we have fun because we often share similar feelings in traditional music. I would be very happy if some friends recommend me some tavernas around Plaka, Psiri, Monastraki, even Pireus area which is good and not expencive. In Pireus : A typical, non-expencive and good restaurant for lunch. Many thanks from now... Engin |

We were in Athens last year and dined at the Taverna Xani on two occasions. It is located in the Plaka area and it was such a lovely little restaurant. The prices I thought were very reasonable with traditional Greek dishes. Saturday night they provided a little Greek music which was fun. You can dine inside or out. We were in a group of 20 and the service was very good and efficient They are located at Adrianou 138 Str. Plaka. Phone 210 3228966
