Kunming Travel Forum

Hello VTers
I'm planned for Kunming from Shanghai on late night of April 16. And next two days (April 17, Thursday& 18, Friday) I want to utilize for sightseeing at Kunming.

I booked the hotel at Royal Garden, very near (about 400 meter) from Kunming airport.

Would you pls suggest me any itinerary for those 2 days. I don't want to miss any must seeing places, communities and enjoyable areas. Also suggest me very nearby electronic market from where I can buy an LCD TV.

I would be grateful for your any tips and plans.

Are you flying out on 18th or 19th? What time?
Why are you staying at the airport? Yes, I know Kunming airport isn't far from town, but there's no need to stay there.
Day 1: Stone Forest day trip
Day 2: Green Lake Park, Jingxing Lu market

I would prefer to stay somewhere in town, really. I'd prefer to get a late-night taxi ride into town than have to shuttle back and forth for the following few days!

My counterparts at Shanghai already booked there.
I would change next day.
Would you pls refer to any the midtown hotel (the cost should be same as Royal Garden Hotel, double room 230RMB,)where I could spend a good nightlife also.
