Hi,
We would like to travel from Osaka to Matsuyama and to takamatsu, we need advises on how we could get there. By JR ? Or what is the fastest or most economical mode of transport and how long does it take ? What can we see in Matusyama ? Please kindly provide more information. Thank you. |

You can go from Osaka to Matsuyama by JR. We took a ferry to Matsuyama from Hiroshima. It took about 1 hour. While we were in Shikoku we used our JR passes. From Matsuyama to Takamatsu is about 2 and a half hours. Matsuyama has a castle and also the Dogo Onsen. Look at www.city.matsuyama.ehime.jp
At Takamatsu be sure to visit the Yashima Plateau. There are great views from there. Also if you get time, take a ferry across to Shodo Island which is great. There is more information on my Shikoku page if you would like to look. Have a great trip! Tracey

Sorry...you can also take a bus or ferry from Osaka to Tokushima and then JR to Takamatsu (1hr), and Matsuyama. Try this website www.onlyone-tokushima.jp/e/4/1.php
