There are a number of solutions, but if you are checking the trenitalia website (www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html) for June 21st, the schedules aren't up yet - there's a database update about June 10th.
However, since trains don't change all that much through the year, you can look at a closer Sunday like April 27th to see representative schedules on a Sunday. There are a number of trains that connect through Bologna, taking 4 or 5 hours; however, the most convenient may be the direct train (not non-stop, but no change of train) that leaves Venice Santa Lucia at 07:20 and arrives in Ancona at 11:47, given you some slop time if the train is late and to get to the docks. haha! I just noticed that if you miss this train in Venice, you can catch a Eurostar that leaves Venice some 20 minutes later, and rendevous with this earlier train in Bologna ;-) Make sense? Bill
