| Martinborough | No trains at the weekend? Posted: Wed April 9, 2008 12:59 PM UTC
I have been searching the train site - metlink - and it seems - to my horror - that there are no trains from Wellington to Featherstone with bus link to Martinborough on the weekends!!! Can someone confirm this? Thanks.

Cannot confirm this ;-)
I looked at the Metlink website and checked out Saturday and Sunday. There is a train departing Wellington at 9.55am, connecting with the Martinborough bus in Featherston, arrival Martinborough 11.15am. You would get a train back in Featherston at 5.34pm. Bus leaves Martinborough at 5.08pm. As there is only this one connection (plus one in the morning to Wellington and one in the evening to the Wairarapa) I would reconfirm this at the Railway Station ;-)
