| Brunei | Curious??? Posted: Wed April 9, 2008 04:04 AM UTC
Hi, this might be an odd Q to ask...
I am a transgender (pondan or mak nyah) from KL and planning to visit Brunei (BSB) this month via Labuan. I was wondering on how tolerant is the Brunei people towards 'mak nyah'??? Will I be facing unnecessary hassles and ridicule or harassed while in BSB??? Or the level of acceptance of 'mak nyah' is SIMILAR to what I am used to in Malaysia??? Thanks so much!!!! |

Hi!
I saw trangenders in BSB when I was there previously so I guess Bruneians are quite tolerant towards them. Regardless of where ever you go just be street smart, don't try to attract unnecessary attention and you'll be allright. -m-
