hello, we will be in peniche on august 13 and we would like to book 4 places on a boat to berlenga in the morning (dep 09.30) and return to peniche (in the afternoon).

Hello. I see you are new here on Virtual Tourist (VT). Welcome. This is a forum for questions about travel all over the world. You cannot make bookings through the forum. We are all travelers like you who share our information with each other.

I have a couple suggestions to get you started. First, type Peniche into the VT Search Window above and that will get to the link to the Peniche Travel Page on VT. Click on Peniche to visit the VT Home Travel Page.

Here you have two options, both excellent. On the right side of the page are VT member Travel Pages on Peniche and on the left side of your screen are Tips that VT members have written about Peniche.

If you check the member Travel Pages, you may find links to the information you seek. If not, you may e-mail any of the posters on the Peniche Travel Pages by clicking on their names. This will take you to their Home Page and underneath their photo is a link you click to e-mail them. Before you do this, you may wish to wait 24 hours to give our European friends time to answer your post. They live on a different time schedule than we do. 8^)

The access to the island is sverely controlled, due to envoironmental reasons. Only three companies make public transport, but 90% or more of the visitors use a boat called Cabo Avelar Pessoa. It belongs to Viamar (http://www.cabo-avelar.com/) amd may be booked in advance by phone (+351 262 785 646)or fax (+351 262 783 847).
