Does anyone know this Slavija Hotel . It fits better in our budget . Can you tell us if it is in a good location ?

I was in Belgrade 4 times, last was in november 2005, at that time the only hotels with single rooms under 27 euros with breakfast included I found which were in the centre were Bristol, Post and Beograd (all of them very near the train station). They are old and Bristol is not specially nice, but they were full all the time, it was difficult to get a free single room even in low season.
Astoria is just in front of the train station and it was around 28-29 euros (also with breakfast), but definetly is in a good location and they don't have so many problems to have free rooms. The rest of hotels where I asked were up to 35 euros, even when in the tourit office they were marked with lower prices.

Thanks for your help I took your suggestion. I booked The Royal Hotel for $80 US on Asia Rooms. It sounds like a good option for the money . I hope. We're not renting a car so we'll want to see as much as possible by foot . We arrive by train and leave by bus for Sarajevo .How much would a taxi cost ?

Thanks Pupulainen. maybe I can ask the hotel to send a cab. We;ve done that in parts of South America and it worked well. I'll contact them to ask.
