I´m travelling to Cpt in July. I´ll be alon. I´d like to hike in Table Mountain. ¿do you know any tourist company that offers that excursion?

Please do not hike up Table Mountain on your own. Use one of the companies that offer to do the hike. Many companies offer the popular half-day hike which involves hiking up the mountain, but taking the well-known Rotair Cable Way to descend the mountain after hiking to the top. Full-day hikes allow for seeing more of the mountain and often involve hiking both up and down, avoiding the cable car.

I am also very much into hiking, but alone is really not recommended. Although things happen even to people with dogs and in groups. Anyway I suppose things can happen anywhere...
I can really recommend the following hiking clubs: Cum hike: www.cumhike.co.za Meridian: www.meridian.org.za They are happy to take on guests for a much smaller fee then any of the commercial tourist companies and you can get to know the locals as well. You pay maybe 15 Rand to come with. If you can hike with Karen Watkins (she guides tours in both clubs) you are styling. Happy holidays.... Michaela www.arbeiteninkapstadt.com
