We are looking for a flight from Darwin to Bali mid June, however couldn't find any cheaper option than AUS $1,200 for two persons for a one hour flight! Does anyone has any cheaper/better suggestion?

Garuda have some cheap flights for June. Also check www.bestflights.com.au they have a lot of prices which others cannot beat .

Try via Singapore with tigerairways.com. I know that the flights to Singapore with Tiger Airways are very cheap...but also at 12something in the morning :o) Then from Singapore you might find a cheap flight.
