| Seoul | ICN Airport to Camp Kim Posted: Tue April 8, 2008 03:13 AM UTC
Can anyone advise me on the best way to get from Incheon Airport (ICN) to Camp Kim? How long does it take to travel between the two? If a taxi is the best way, what would the taxi fare be?
Thanks! |

What is your "status"? Did you ship a car? Are you Dod? Will you have a lot of luggage? Where will you be staying? Camp Kim is right across the street from the rear gate of Yongsan. That said, if you have access to Yongsan, there is a USO bus that runs directly from ICN to Yongsan about 4 times a day. The schedule is located here:
http://www.uso.org/Korea/default.cfm?contentid=665 If you can catch this bus, you can then take a taxi for the front of Dragon Hill over to Camp Kim (a 5 minute ride). Now if you are not Dod affiliated, you have the option of taking one of the airport buses to a hotel near Camp Kim or Yongsan, taking the light rail to Gimpo and switching to the subway sysetm (there is a subway stop at Samkakgi which is right across the street from Camp Kim) or you could take a taxi direct. Each of the options will take you about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. The USO bus sounds like the easiest for you, based on the info you posted. The next easiest (and most expensive) would be to take a taxi. There may be AAFES taxis out at the airport when you land, but it will cost you about $50 to get to Camp Kim. A regular taxi will be a little cheaper, but not by much. The other airport buses make stops at hotels throughout the city, but you have to choose the right one (go to my pages for a link to the bus from the airport) I suggest you go to the USO information counter at ICN anyway just to weigh your options. Any other questions, feel free to ask me.
