hi we arrive lateish on sunday 11th may about 10pm will there be any restraunts or fast food places to eat at that time we are staying at the playa club apartments near the strip, so directions to these places would be most helpful.also will there be any supermarkets open at this time

You're cutting it really fine for a sit-down meal at a restaurant... but there are a couple of fast food places around the Centro Atlantico area on the strip.

Not sure about supermarkets I'm afraid... tried to find one recently myself - and most were closing at 10pm.

You won't starve... but I'm afraid the real culiary delights will have to wait until the next day.

Not sure if you're a group of adults, or whether you have kiddies with you... but if you are all adults, then I would recommend eating at the airport before you come out (or stuff your hand luggage with sandwiches). Then get to your hotel - dump the bags... and go have lots of drinkies to celebrate your arrival on the Island!

Hope you have a fantastic holiday here!

Lanzarote belongs to Spain. And Spaniards tend to go out for dinner really late. 10 pm would be normal for them. So if you arrive at your hotel at this time you'll have no problem to get something at a restaurant.

But if you arrive at the airport at 10 pm then you'll have to consider transfer time to you hotel and the check-in procedure. In that case it might be better to fetch some food at the airport.

You're very welcome. Luckily I live on the Island - so there's always food in the cupboard - but I appreciate that there are those travel plans which don't get you indoors, suitcases dropped, and shoes changed before you can get out and grab a bite to eat.

Good luck!
