I am going to be visiting Prague for three days in May. I am traveling with my 65-year-old father, a stroke survivor. He does not do well reacting to noise or a bustling environment (and we'll have a car) so I thought it might be a good idea to stay in a small town near Prague and take a local train into the city center each day.
Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay within, say, a 40-minute train ride into the city? Stashing the car is also a big part of it; I don't want to drive in Prague if I can help it. Thanks, Will |

See the accomodations section of my VT Prague page, for a great inexpensive hotel in the south suburbs. There is good car parking, it is directly across the street from the train station, but train noise is not an issue. Trains depart Prague main station every hour, and the ride takes only 15 minutes. Read or meet the locals during the trip. Train ticket is covered by your public transportation pass. Hotels in the suburbs cost less than half of what they do in the city center.
