How Far From City Centre - Avenue de l'Independance, Belge 65

Hi Thinking of staying at a B&B at the above address for 5 nights early Sept. My concern is how do we get into the city on Public Transport - Metro, Tram etc?

We intend taking day rail trips to Aachen, Bruges etc and need to get to the Midi station early morning,say 8am and return around 8pm. Therefore need regular transport to get to Midi.

Does the Avenue de l'Independence Belge 65 district offer tourist interestand is it safe at night?

I don't know the area very well, but you can enter the address at http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/index.php (from) and enter brussel zuid (=midi) or brussel centraal as destination. Don't forget to select "all products". It seems there is no easy connection to one of the main train stations. All trips are at least 35-40 minutes and include mostly two changed of (bus/tram/metro). Not an easy route if you ask me...

Best looks:
- 12 minute walk to Metro (Simonus)
- 16 minute ride on Metro 2 (Bruxelles Midi)
- 8 minute walk to train
