Hello!
We will bein Peru in July. We are trying to book our roundtrip from Ollayantambo to M.P.on perurail and cannot get the transaction to complete.We've even tried using different credit cards. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone konw what the fix/trick is to completing the payment transaction?

Best to call Perurail from home, call again to confirm when arriving in Peru and, upon arriving in Cusco, to go to their office and pay and receive the tickets.

I've had the same problem as well as other VTers. See prior discussion about difficulty w/ on-line bookings via Peru Rail. Another suggestion: have your hotel/hostel purchase your tickets in advance to secure your MP adventure. Goodluck and enjoy beautiful Peru!

I also had trouble booking online when I went last year. I ended up just buying my train tickets to MP once I got to Cuzco. They sell vouchers for them at all of the travel agencies so it should be no problem. Have fun!! I know you will. :)

I went through a travel agency. Apparently its a madhouse in the morning to get on the rail. The best thing to do is get into contact with an agency there and have them purchase the ticket for you, pick you up from your hotel, and drop you off, making sure you've made it on the train... its beautiful, make sure to look for the waterfalls along the cliffs.
