| Dubrovnik | More questions! Posted: Sun April 6, 2008 05:28 PM UTC
Thanks for the answers to the last set of questions. Let me get this right,
In Lokrum there is not much to see, is that correct? It might take anywhere from 1 hour to 2 and a half hours to see the old town? What else would someone who is in Dubrovnik for the day (on a cruise) do or see? Are there any other sites or towns / villages of interest? Are there any really nice beaches to visit and relax? |

2 hours absolute minimum to see old town. It is a place to be savored. If you are stopping on a cruise you don't really have time to go exploring. Enjoy Dubrovnik!

It is one of the most beautiful places on Earth--why the rush?

Depends where you arrive. If you are arriving in Graz I would wonder around the harbour and make my way to Lapad beach for a while. Then later get on the bus to the old town. There are many things to see in the old town that you should savour, take your time and you will fill a lot of the day there. In more than one day you could take a trip to Cavtat or the Elaphite Islands but if you only have one day I would stick to a beach and the old town.
Never been to Lokrum but the island is a peaceful getaway, a chance to relax on the rocks if you choose to. See the Dubrovnik things to do pages for inspiration in the old town.

I hope you mean Gruz and not Graz!
