Seoul bringing bread out of Korea...
Posted: Sun April 6, 2008 01:55 PM UTC
Sorry for the weird question...

I plan to buy bread from Tous Les Jour ('cuz I really love them, and our country doesn't have any Tous Les Jour or anything close to it) and bring it back to my country. Am I allowed to have the bread check-in with me at the airport? I'll just put it on my carry-on backpack

Transporting the bread may not be your only problem.
You will need to find out if you can bring it back into your own country.
Some food products are not allowed in some countries.

I have never intentionally brought bread from Korea to Philippines... but when I went down to Philippines last month (from Korea) I did have a few sandwiches from Tous Les Jour in my bag. I brought them because it was a late flight with no meal service, I landed ~1am and thought it would be both my dinner and breakfast.

Korea will not care what you bring out in the way of food products. If anything it would stroke their egos to know you enjoyed something from Korea enough to want to bring some with you.

The Philippine customs on the other hand did not care since it was not farm produce.
