Opatija Travel Forum

Hello. I am seeking recommendations on how to travel from Sicily to Opatija in April. I understand there is a ferry from Bari (Italy) to Rijeka. Would that be a fun and efficient choice, assuming I could get to Bari with bus or train or something? Perhaps train is better and less disruptive/more direct? Thank you.

Look at www.whichbudget.com for cheap flights from Palermo to Venice, take the train or bus to Trieste and then bus To Opatija, the train and bus stations are close to each other in Trieste.

My plans have changed.... now I need to know how best to get from Zadar to Opatija. I will be traveling April 22. Do you have knowledge about this region as well? I suppose bus or train are my options but which would you prefer if you were going and do I need reservations? Thanks so much for your response.
