Doncaster Where to stay

Once again my jet-set lifestyle takes me to the Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire. I’m off to Doncaster tomorrow (I’ll be working in Adwick le Street) and I need a hotel for three nights, any suggestions?

I've been asked to smuggle in some bibles but it's not worth the risk

You really do get to the best places! Still if you ever have to work in Withernsea you will know things cannot get any worse. There looks to be some reasonable hotels on Thorne Road in Doncaster - I would try along there.

Greetings from the People's Republic of South Yorkshire! :-)

If you don't fancy a commute from the bright lights of Sheffield (we've got a few fancy new hotels here apparently!), then you might find something amongst this selection of Doncaster hotels:

http://www.booking.com/searchresults.html?sid=40ed99eef77718ac1c0493181eb27221;checkin_monthday=6;checkin_year_month=2008-4;checkout_monthday=9;checkout_year_month=2008-4;class_interval=1;do_availability_check=1;offset=0;si=ai%2Cco%2Cci%2Cre;ss_all=0;city=-2594486

I can't vouch for any of them personally, but The Purple Hotel (£176 for 3 nights in a double room) scores an amazing 9.2 out of 10 from the 124 reviews on booking.com. Sounds like a good choice to me!

Cheers,

Jonathan
