Boracay isn't a beach, it is an island. Among other things, the island sports several beaches.

The island is about 7km long, 2.5km wide at the ends and less than 1km wide in the middle. The main beaches are on either side of the slender middle section, but the island does have other beaches. The main road along the long axis of the island winds back and forth a bit and is a bit over 10km long overall.

Most Boracay visitors stick to the White Beach area. The beach is about 4km long, and walking is a reasonable mode of transport along White Beach and across the island to Bulabog beach on the other side of the island's central slender portion. Trikes are available along the main road, but Mountain Bikes are a good mode of transport for exploring.

One place to rent mountain bikes is in front of Boracay Beach Chalets. Try http://www.boracayinfo.net/?page=search|target=beach chalet and click o0n the Location link which reads "on White Beach at 1680 meters".

Following up my previous response, I thought I might provide the following links with info about Boracay island which goes beyond White Beach:

How unhelpful. Honestly, I don't know why some people bother posting. Mountain biking is a popular way to get around the island - just beware the traffic on the main road. Trikes and other vehicles rarely indicate when pulling out.

BackpackBoracay.com has a one page free listing for mounting biking rentals (http://backpack.boracaydreamisland.com/documents/mountain_biking.html). The owner of the bikes is a Canadian named Finn. Finn will either rent bikes to you directly for you to explore on your own or will show you a guided mountain bike tour. His e-mail and phone number are listed in the ad if you interested on checking prices. I haven't been on a trip with him yet (I still get tired going from station 2 to station 1 on my bike...).
