Hi , I need to get from quito to lima in 5 days. (will be travelling on to cuscu and bolivia)
Can anyone advise on the best way to get there by plane or otherwise. Wouldnt mind seeing guayaquil for a day or so. any advice greatly appreciated. lots of irish luck! x |

Take a plane after spending some time in Quito. If you bus it, you won't get much time to spend anywhere specific. If I recall it's 24 hours from Northern Peru border to Lima.
Ecuador is a great country and the people are great. The food is amazing too. I'd say you're time would be much better spent soaking in the hot springs of Papallacta or Baņos and checking out the volcanos. You may also look for flights from Guayaquil to Lima as well. The busride from Quito to Guayaquil is amazing and the lowland coast of the country has a flavor of its own that is well worth checking out.
